Rode this line in the mid 90's from Springdale, Ar to Van Buren, Ar. Fantastic trip behind the Alco's. We detrained in Van Buren, locomotive crossed the river and did some switching while passengers shopped and had lunch. Scenery thru the Boston Mtns is great. Ride it if you can (all day trip with return to Springdale).
