David, and anyone else who wants to help,
I spoke to the manager at Lowes Grocery Store in Chama this morning.
If you want to make a contribution to this effort you can call the market at 575-756-2545. Tell them you would like to make a donation of a can or a case of some non-perishable food item (your choice of both item and amount).
They can charge your credit card and arrange for the railroad to pick it up and put it in the box either with a name credit or anonymously.

Both the food banks and the railroad will appreciate your support.
