Interesting catch Bruce. It looks like a Billmeyer & Small 24 ft. car and it does look to me like the end door has been extended down to the "porch" end beam of the car. Maybe a temporary caboose conversion? The box car that is being pulled from the mill (between the gondolas) has the left hand opening side door and look at all the different types of box cars in the mill track as well.
