What is thought to be the oldest surviving narrow gauge tank car body in Colorado has been recovered by DRHS members from the GraySill Mine where it has remained hidden for 55 years. The tank was located 14 miles from the Durango Mountain Resort (aka Purgatory Ski Area) three-quarters of the way up Bolam Pass. It was discovered seven years ago but it has only been possible to recover it in July ’14. (Photo: Duane Danielson)

I also note that the DRHS has a pending grant request with History Colorado for $84,799 for freight and work car reconstruction ... photos on their website show the latest acquistions.
