C&TS: Chama - October 18, 2014

I visited Chama yesterday and came away with these pictures:
484 being spotted with the day's eastbound train.
463 sitting outside the roundhouse. It was good to see her again! :-)
The '84 leaving Chama for Antonito.
489 was spotted in the engine shop to provide steam for the rotary.
An close-up of the side-rod/valve gear - the first time I'd ever seen a steam-powered rotary in action.
On my way to Chama, I'd seen the 487 steamed up in Antonito.
It was a nice drive for a brief, but good visit. I have to get back there...soon!
