The grade between the outlet pond of the lake (station site at highway crossing) and Sonestown is on private land-owned by Lewis Lumber Company. According to the museum guide-Only occasionally is there public access to this part of the grade. A local hiking club has access to members only on other times. The grade around the lake to the Cressmont hotel is open for all to enjoy. With the waterfalls and spectacular views it would have been a great ride. The train took an hour to climb the 8 miles on 30 lb. rail with station and water stops. With their Climax's top speed of around 10 MPH that makes sense. The Eagles Mere Museum has a spectacular 0n30 model of the line using Bachman Climax's.
