Guys,
Here is the one I shot on Saturday, belonging to the museum where I volunteer. Talked to the pilot this morning and he said its running great(they had the engine rebuilt over the last year). This and the P-51 were owned by the guy who started the museum 10 years ago.
Today I shot the B-25 taking off and landing. There is a guy locally who has a T-6 and his own runway....he owns a farm(Grass strip I think).
He flew at our Gala, along with another T-6 from Chicago, and two T-28's.
Our B-25 pinch-hit for the C-47 that cancelled!!!
There were three full-time guys working at the museum this morning.
One working on the FW-190 (reproduction), the P-40, and the newly acquired C-45 twin engine. They hope to have it operational for a gig in September.
The T-6's make a nice recreational aircraft. One of the guys at the museum has one for sale I think. If anyone is interested I can put you in touch with him. I have not seen it. The guy is probably done flying as he has had some heart issues. I can relate!!!
Greg
PS Michael, I believe I saw the schedule of the show in Michigan but had something else happening. Would be nice in the future.
