NNG Railroad Bench

I acquired a bench that has been sitting in a doctor's office for 50 years. Before that it was in the Dayton, TX RR station before it was torn down. It is said to be from a railroad car originally. I don't know what road it came from or the class of car, but it appears to be from a parlor car. Someone said it might be from England originally but I don't know about that. Can any one make some educated guesses on the age/road etc.?
I am going to give the piece some overdue tlc, remove some paint splotches, repair some termite damage, do a bit of touch up, and them? I'm not sure.
