Perfect timing on your "Scarlet Harlot" thread, David -
Ernie Robart recently sent me several more slides to scan, a few of which will
appear as prints in Larry Jensen's upcoming book on the movie railroads (and

Here's #483 in Durango, painted up but not yet lettered as "Grand Mountain RR Line" freight locomotive #550, shortly before leaving for Chama to appear in
'The Lilies and the Goats' 'The Good Guys and the Bad Guys', September 16, 1968
:
Here she is on the relocated line east of Arboles a few hours later
:
... and crossing Highway 84 a few miles west of Chama late in the afternoon
:
By September 29 #483's tender had been lettered, but her cab not (yet?) numbered for her role as GMRRL freight locomotive #550
:
Finally, in all her hideous glory, the Scarlet Harlot - Grand Mountain RR Line passenger locomotive #577 - basks in the afternoon sun on October 9, 1968
:
Meanwhile, back in Durango, D&RGW #473 was being prepped to appear as Union Pacific #478 in
'Botch Casually and the SomeDunce Kid' 'Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid' ...
