Had been working on a 3D K-36 trailing truck some time ago. Saw this thread and decided to finish it (actually started over). Working from D&RGW engineering department drawings from July 1926 (card 10899, file L-238) and shop photos taken by our friends Roger and Carlos. The pattern number on the drawing for the radius bar (the front part) is 220297. I've seen this number in one of Carlos' photos and another, 220381?, in one of Roger's shots of 489's trailing truck. Things change. The top of the journal housing was modeled following the photos, which are a little different than the drawing, looks as if some of the original metal was cut away possibly for better clearance.
Still need to make the journal box cover and maybe futz with the textures, then show in context with the frame and the radius bar crosstie. And the bolts are supposed to have threads, but so far can't get that to work.
Haven't done too much with this 3D project in a while. Will try to do more, only several thousand parts to go...
Also still working on the C-21 drawing...
And started modeling (after 35 years away) in Sn3...
And there's the job of course, and golf...
More to come.

And by the way, this kind of 3D won't work with, and is not intended for, train simulators - which are way cool, by the way.
