North Carolina currently has 4 operable steam locomotives...

Tweetsie has 2--both narrow gauge
East Tennessee & Western North Carolina 4-6-0 #12 at Tweetsie
White Pass & Yukon 2-8-2 #190 at Tweetsie

and on the standard gauge front...
0-4-0 tank at Bonsal on the New Hope Valley Railway. It runs once a month from about April to November.

and an 0-4-0 (was saddletank, now removed with tender) at Denton for the Southeast Threshers Reunion that operates the week of July 4.
