...post those darn pix here.
I would post pictures, but I am too busy comparing the different train consists that NGConductor (and crew) pulled off against Jimmy Blouch's past posts.
The day started out with rather flat light, so after the obligatory horseshoe curve and high bridge stops, the crew scrapped some planned runbys and ran straight to Cascade. That turned out to be a very fortuitous call because it pushed more of the runbys into the afternoon, when the white stuff had started falling. (Being a former-Buffaloian, I had a blast.)
Unfortunately for some riders, all the falling snow caused BoxcarBetty to can Sunday's night photo shoot. That seemed to have been a good call -- we were in Old Tymers for about an hour on Sunday evening and our car had a good inch of snow on it when we came out.
The Saturday night photo session was really well done -- onboard Sunday's train, my better half and I heard a ton of positive comments about how well the night session was orchestrated and that many participants were very happy with the shots they got.
I hope everybody made it home alright. This morning's drive to ABQ took a lot longer than usual; US-550 from about Nagezzi to Cuba was atrocious, with black ice everywhere.... and a few spun-out vehicles as well.
