A tank car is the most rigid fright car due to the torsional rigidity of the tank car tank. The under frame gets its rigidity from the tank by means of the anchors and tank bands.
All other factors being equal, the car with longer the truck centers will react to more track geometry variances, especially irregular cross level.
On encountering an irregular cross level the high side can load the side bearing that can keep the the truck from pivoting allowing it to pick problem joints and turnouts or climb the high rail.
