Jerry et al -

Better a bike path than a shopping mall or condo complex, IMHO.
LOTSA luck rebuilding the D&RGW from Durango to Carbon Jct.,
for example, or even Carbon Jct. to Ignacio - whereas that which
is commonly called "railbanking" at least preserves a relatively
uncluttered r.o.w. for possible future railroad use - or even for a
combined bicycle path AND railroad - which has been done in
a few communities where the r.o.w. is wide enough.

- Russo (muy) Loco

p.s. "Bikers" usually refers to those who ride motorcycles, whereas those of us who ride bicycles - like NGDF host Don Richter and myself - are generally called "cyclists".   It's no wonder visitors from other lands have trouble with English!
