Re: C&TS Track Crews at Work - May 26, 2010 (More Pics)

While the track crews went about their business, I walked slowly around from south of the newly-green culvert to a vantage point uphill and to the west of Trolliessen Crossing and watched as more ties were replaced and track leveled with the aid of a pneumatic ballast tamper.  Meanwhile, a falcon supervised the movement of the loader / backhoe along the track:


Before hopping in my car at the crossing, I took a final picture of the tampers in action. But while driving away I noticed the other crew silhouetted against the sky, and drove back to take a couple more shots:


Ohmygawd, I just looked at the clock - it's 2:15 in the morning!  Thyme sure flies when you're having fun!!
But I do think it's time to quit playing and have some dinner . . .
