Attention all Once & Future Sponsors of the 08/30/10 Volunteer Tribute Event -
Greg Scholl has offered us fifty copies (Yes, that's 50 copies) of his DVD 'First Train to
Toltec' (1997), which will be presented as a 'THANK YOU' to those helping to sponsor
the 'Summer of Seventy Volunteers Tribute Train'.
The first fifty people whose names appear on the hero's list (see [
ngdiscussion.net], above) by the deadline date of August 15, 2010, will receive one of these videos; if there are fewer than fifty names by 08/15/10, the balance of the DVDs will be sold during the 40th Anniversary Celebration to help offset the costs associated with the event. (Donors of $50 or more who are not riding the train, please send your mailing address by private message so that your copy can be shipped to you.)
Here's Greg's description the contents of his 'First Train to Toltec' DVD: "
This is a work train, [plus] a special charter that was done by three of us, with two engines to Cumbres, and then on to Osier and Toltec. John West paid for the helper. The engine on the Work train to clear the slide was 488; we ride in the caboose on the train to get there. The engine on the charter freight is 497, with 484 as the helper to Cumbres." Here's a link to a more detailed description, which is the
second listing from the top on [
www.gregschollvideo.com]
... and a link to the preview video, which is the first listing on the page of previews at [
www.gregschollvideo.com].
THANK YOU, GREG!!
