Michele cuts loose with two blasts on the whistle on #489 as it starts to move. Freshly shopped with just a light layer of road dust on the boiler jacket and parked under the coaling tower, it made for a spectacular night shot.
Dennis of the the 315 group asked me last year after I lit #315 at the water tower if I could do the same thing at the coal tipple, so using #489 as a stand in I proved it could be done.
I just want to thank Soni, Alan, Michele, Roger Hogan, Bob Ross and my crew Mike, Jeff and Dennis for making this happen.
