Re: Cerro Summit question

Might I suggest aquiring the USGS 7.5' topos for the area & the row map reproductions the CRRM is publishing? Altho I grant, that would run ya about $54+s&h to cover the whole of Cerro, they do show pretty good detail between them.

Which brings up a question I've posted, without response, before. Does anyone know who owns the grade from Cimmaron to Cedar Creek? The row map reproductions show it as included in the transfer of the Black Canyon line to Gunnison & Montrose countys in 1949 but it is fenced off in several places. Anybody close enough to Montrose( and willing to go dig thru musty files) to go to the county courthouse and find an answer? Better yet, does anybody actually know?

If not I sorta plan to go try on my next return from exile but the gods alone know when *that* will be!
