Cerro Summit question

July 09, 2007 09:16AM avatar
Since Dave Dye does such a great job of charting old NG right of way on his map overlays, I was hoping he had covered the Cerro Summit area between Cimarron and Montrose.

However, I can't seem to find any threads that refer to the location of the recent nice work that he's been doing or if it is indexed somewhere for general use. I was on my way to Telluride this past weekend and I walked around there for an hour, but between the fences, No Trespassing signs and the lack of detail in the good old Ormes "Tracking Ghost Railroads" book, I left without being able to get a good idea of the where the wye was.

Can anyone offer a link to Dave's overlays or any suggestions so that I can better understand the location of the Rio Grande facilities there?

I'd also like to learn more about the Dallas Divide area trackage on the RGS, and I don't own any of the RGS books yet.

Thank you in advance!
