Fall is here

Snow tonight in the foothills west of Denver. Got a little last night, and Mt. Evans and Pikes Peak are in a mantle of 'frosted doughnut' white. More expected tonight, and mid 70's tomorrow.
In a couple of weeks the aspen will turn to brillian gold. Time for the flatlanders to head west to the Rockies and drink in the splendor. As an ex-flatlander I pay respect to the turning of the cottonwoods, oaks, and other trees and the explosion of color at lower altitudes. Time to chatch them both. Aspens in about two weeks, beautiful color in the flatlands in about a month. Time to enjoy both. Ya awl, come on out here! Get a gppd dosee of fall color.
