I agree about the dry-pipe system and I mentioned that to the guys last night also. (It is good to hear the same thing from another fire service guy, thanks, Matt.) I was in there for the first time last Tuesday and it kind of made me nervous about the lack of fire protection. (The closest fire hydrant is a block away but they’re working to correct that too.) I would say, however, the folks from the San Juan County Historical Society have done a great job in just stabilizing the building and they are intent on taking care of business. Especially now since #315 and the Casey Jones will be housed in there.
And, yes there was a pit under the left stall that’s covered over now.
