Trains Unlimited, Tours is indeed running a C&TS charter this fall. It's scheduled for September 27-28: Chama to Antonito on Thursday, overnight in Antonito, back to Chama on Friday. I rode this excursion in 1999 and enjoyed it so much--the weather was perfect and the aspens at their best--that I signed up for this year's trip too. There are LOTS of runbys, and the consist (at least, based on what it was in 1999) will be a mix of cattle cars, tankers, and boxcars, plus an open gon and boxcar coaches and caboose(s). It's two full days of nothing but C&TS, with plenty of photo stops along the way.
