Gentlemen...
There have been long threads here, concerned with car colors. Basically, I've not been reading them, because color choices are hopeless undertakings for more than one person.
So, here is an amusement. Here, in Portland, Oregon, we have four new streetcars. (They will operate on a line basically perpendicuar to the fine light-rail MAX route.) Apparently, the committee could not agree on a color scheme for them. So, they are all painted differently. Yesterday, at lunch in a restaurant next to the line, I saw a dark blue car, with a light blue stripe. I also saw an orange car, with a light blue stripe. (The cars are not yet in service, but are being "tested" - for months.)
But, here is the neat thing. The cars are not even painted the same color on each side. So, if you don't know better, you think that there are eight cars!
Cheers, Bob Keller
