On the 23rd a special train went out to allow a camera crew from ABC to film our winter run. We had run-bys in several locations. In fact, we even left the depot twice, much to the irritation of some traffic on College Avenue because we just went a block along the track and then backed into the yards for a second start. There were extensive run-bys on the Highline and the High Bridge. We had a long wait at Cascade for shooting at the Animas Bridge there.
We were told that this material will be edited into a 2 1/2 minute segment on this Sunday's (Jan 27) ABC Good Morning America. I sure would to see some the unused material. MOW even shoveled a path down to the river below the High Bridge for the shots there.
The weather was perfect, sunny and clear skies. However, it was cold.
Today (Thur) would have been a disaster for TV, for we've had about 6 or 8 inches of new snow since midnight and visibility is very limited as the snow continues.
Incidentally, the Flanger and its associated crummy have just had their annuals and cleanup over in the CarShop. They are now outside again. They are expected to be used for the first time in several years. No date set yet.
