As one of the four people that does the restoration and rebuilding of the equipment at Knott's, I appreciate those of you who want to let us keep the equipment. You guys back in Colorado have plenty of narrow gauge. I would hate to see our equipment sitting dead in a museum. I think those of you that want the stuff back in Colorado would have a different opinion if you visited us out here in California.
I have to say that it was fun being behind the throttle of 340 while double heading in the cold of a southern California winter day. So those of you that want our equipment back can dream of how to get it, but meanwhile it will be in good hands operating 364 days a year.
