I must disagree w/the idea of bringing equipment 'back' from Knotts. Those guys love their equipment, and have done an incredible job in keeping all the equipment maintained and operating.
As much as I love the C&TS and D&S, they would never operate the smaller locomotives. And, much as we might wish otherwise, Knott's exposes more kids and families to NG steam than the other roads could ever hope. I wouldn't want to lose that.
How 'bout this idea - why not work w/the Knott's folks to display more history about the Colorado NG, and include fliers and promotions for the NG roads which are still operating in Colorado? Get some synergy working...
