It should also be noted that this same accident in 1943 spelled the end of RGS #40, which was double heading with the #20. I don't know which loco initially derailed, but the #40 which was not in too good of condition before the accident, was considered not worth fixing and scrapped. Thank God they felt differently about the #20!
