This shot capture the Baker White Pine Lumber Co.'s #3 Climax at work. #3 was a 45 ton narrow gauge engine built in 1915. Baker White Pine Lbr. was one of the lumber companies that connected with the Sumpter Valley Ry. In 1928, Baker White Pine went into receivership and ownership passed to the Stoddard Lbr. Co. of Baker, Or. #3 finished up her days as #3 for Stoddards, and was probably out of service by the early 1940's. Her boiler, a builders plate and spot plate survive today.
