476 Tonnage Test

D&S K28 476 encountered a few issues last week on her break-in run after rework, so it was back to the shop for some TLC. Today the shop's handiwork was on display as 476 took nine cars and an idling #103 up Hermosa Hill on the point of the diesel Silverton local. She sounded absolutely square and in charge as she accelerated the entire outfit over Shalona Crossing. Having arrived in Rockwood, 476 turned on the wye and 103 took the train onwards towards Silverton.

Mission accomplished, it seems. My understanding is that the diamond stack will be removed prior to 476 re-entering service.
