The "Full" Social Security Retirement Age is moving from 65 to 67, and currently, it is somewhere in between.
For those caught in this change, is this having an effect on your "Bucket List?" Do you feel robbed of those years?
For those past that time in your life, if you look back, where were those 2 of the best years of your retirement or did you find that if you had to work that time, it wouldn't have made a big difference after all?
The reason I ask this here is that I wonder if maybe things like tourist railroads will see an impact on those who typically did long and elaborate vacations once they were free from the 9 to 5 grind. I remember we had Friends of the C&TS volunteers that could essentially spend the entire summer in Chama. They still can, but now they are a bit older.
I realize there are some here who could either retire early or had to go on indefinitely. But I bet the majority did look at 65 being a magic milestone.
