To make amends for inadvertently stumbling into a controversy, I would offer a compromise: Narrow Gauge Steam AND Birds/wildlife. There was an opportunity in Silverton on May 6:
476 AND a snow camel in Silverton (okay, this may be a bit of a stretch)
Then there are large birds AND narrow gauge steam trains (unfortunately far from the Chama valley)
Another option might be choosing a geographical area with a narrow gauge train, and adding a bird picture taken in the same area:
As an EXAMPLE - A photo of a narrow gauge Heisler in Oregon, accompanied by a photo of a saw-whet owl in Oregon (a lucky photo taken in the entrance of a lava tube in central Oregon)
