The recent discussions about GRAMPS oil traffic from Chama to Alamosa had me looking at photos (mine and Frank Barry's) that included trains with loaded tank cars, starting on September 4, 1963. Starting to chase trains this late in the GRAMPS era, I never encountered an 11-tank car Cumbres turn, but which doesn't mean they didn't still operate. What I did see, were very uneven numbers of tank cars in Cumbres turns and in trains running east from Cumbres.
