Sorry we didn't get a chance to meet.
Yes, currently the pedestals are marked D&RG. However I can't tell in any photo what if anything is one the pedestals of the cars in service trucks. Keep in mind this car started life as a pullman sleeper for the D&RG and would have had the 6' wheel base trucks that looked very much like a D&RG 5' wheel base truck. Then later she has what look like the D&RG 5' WB trucks but with different journal boxes and brake beams.
What the museum made for the car is very close to what it had, short of grinding off the D&RG lettering and different journal boxes.
I have only seen the Bender drawing of 50. It's most glaringly obvious inaccuracy is that the restroom is on the wrong side, and it is missing the stove. Aside from that it's not terrible but it's still not quite right.
The brake rigging is not even close, the front air hose is on the wrong side, the coupler carrier irons aren't right, it doesn't show that the storage boxes are different hights, there isn't a square box on the bottom of the car ahead of the left storage box,(it had a circular tin shoot for the toilet.) the end roof and platform jutt out a little to much, the brake wheel is missing on the front of the car along with some hand grabs, the rear end beam is missing the the detail of the steel strap with the coupler lift chain behind it, the hand grabs on the platform should not be symmetrical, and there should be a note about the extra seat in the left rear corner starting if there was a chair there it had to be free standing as there is ot evidence of a fixed chair.
