Friends Special Freight in October

Just wanted you to know that Bill Lock, special train promoter extraordinaire, has planned a post Season Special Freight Train.
October 20, Chama to Antonito

I understand it will be run as a limited seat (25-30, around that number) special, so if you are interested, contact the Friends office in ABQ soon at
505-880-1311, asking for info about the Friends special freight in October.
see you then. If you haven't seen the aspens turn gold in the southern Rockies, you should not die before you see this,,, and the best way is to ride a C&TS train in the autumn...
And don't do the "parachute special" driving in at the last moment... take an extra day, get a room for at least two nights or more, then savor the moment.
Maybe we must "carpe diem" in our supersonic world, .. but we should also savor these beautiful moments,
They are too precious to waste... and bring a good friend along... Lodging abounds in Chama, lodging in Antonito, and at accomodations west of Antonito along the Conejs river... so, take a little while, detox from the big city, and 'smell a few flowers'... as well as some good coal smoke.
