Quite likely. Though the Sumpter Valley did have rear marker lamps most photos show flags instead. Except in the dead of winter most passenger runs were made in daylight.
Background information: The accident happened at Mason Siding when logging crews left the switch unlocked. Number 19 made it across but the baggage/RPO split the switch. Amazingly the couplers held.
