Correct, the track through the mill (Sierra Pacific) was removed many years ago from about MP 49 to MP 50. This would have been going by the old Pickering Engine House (still in use as Mill Shop), through the log deck, across Standard Road and in front of the Standard, CA depot. Only the main line was removed (# 90 rail) the sidings (#60 rail) were left and were still in place last time I was there several years ago. The heaver rail was move to the mill proper to build more track, and some was used at various places on the main west of the mill.

Going east of Standard towards Tuolumne, there are three bridges, Draper, Black Oak and at West Side the Turnback Creek. Draper and Black Oak were standing about 10 +/- years ago, but in very poor condition and needed total rebuilds. The bridge at West Side for all purposes in down in the creek bottom. That was at the out flow of the mill pond. There is a crossing at Black Oak Road that the County wanted to remove when they did a road project in the area. There was such a stink from the old Friends of Sierra (not related to the railroad) group, they decided to rebuild the crossing. I was working for the railroad at the time and the county paid us to rebuild the crossing, this was maybe 30 years ago now. There is also a crossing at Curtis Creek Circle Rd, the tracks are in but very overgrown. Along a number of private roads and driveways, the area has been developed over the years.

The big crossing at Tuolumne Road has been paved over several times over the years, this was Ralphs Station where the Pickering Lumber Co railroad left the Sierra tracks. The Train Register "Booth" there was restored a number of years ago and still exists.

The rail between Tuolumne and Standard is # 90 up to Ralph and # 60 down into the Westside (as close as you can get). The line would need heavy brush clearing and most likely 100% ties as well as major bridge work.

Last I heard the local Mewuk Tribe was trying to purchase the right of way which was owned by the Tuolumne City Parks and Recreation District.
