This isn't a narrow gauge photo if you split hairs. However, it is very much in the realm of narrow gauge heritage. We see Westside Lumber Co. #3 Heisler performing switching duty at Tuolmne, Ca. #3 was originally built as a narrow gauge engine, but later converted to standard gauge for this assigned job. Today, the engine built in 1899 is oldest operating Heisler in the world. Returned to 36" gauge, it is in regular service at Roaring Camp & Big Trees as their #2.
