Re: Colorado Narrow Gauge Steam Excursion Stars (As of May 2022)

During my talks when I'm at the podium at the CRRM, I go around and point out different items along the line and when it comes to 318, I always say "It's a cosmetically restored locomotive at this time, but it may be restored to operating condition some time in the future." With this point in mind with many locomotives throughout the history of a restoration standpoint; there have been a lot of great feats done in recent years and most likely more to come in the future. The Challenger & the 2-10-2 are two good examples of this for recent news.

Marking them as "retired" can cause a lot of confusion and problems, especially from a point where we might get customers "Well so and so said this online that it's retired" when it really is not. It can also cause further disputes & even arguments with others, which my motto is "Don't excite, be polite" but that motto isn't everyone's.

I've personally seen a lot of your "list posts" many with inaccurate descriptions inside and the comments/flames that have insured along with it but seeing this post even irked me quite a bit. I recommend, please do some research and what not or at least for this list remove the "retired" from yer list because it can be a real hassle for anyone that comes across it and cause a possible panic over something that's not true.
