Doubleheading is almost never planned. We have no real need to do it, either engine can handle our largest trains. This was done simply as a break in for 111, which had not run since late October last year, and because it's fun to do. 111 was being prepped for service since the summer vacation season is approaching, and 40 is almost too boiler wash time.
