This is some of the most exciting news to come out of Knott's since the first chicken dinner.
Knott's Berry Farm has contracted the Durango and Silverton to rebuild RGS 41.
I don't know all the details, I'll let those actually involved speak to that. I do know that 41 will be taken to Durango for the rebuild, additionally the D&S has been contracted to perform wheel work and truck work for the coaches.
41 and her tender were loaded today on lowboy trailers and will be headed east soon. So keep an eye out. Rosser trucking of Ridgecrest CA, will be doing the hauling. This is the same outfit that has hauled SP 18 multiple times.
As a former engineer from Knott's I am very happy to see this happening.

340 was used with the 9519 and 5576 as a handle to load 41 and her tender.
This is the first time in 71 years that 41 has been out side the farm.
