The partition between the coach section and baggage compartment was removed when 212 was converted into a "snack car". I heard the passengers complained about looking at the gathering crowd at the concession stand all day so around 1976 the car was turned around so that 212's passengers did not have to stare at the hungry mob.

The D&RGW's last great history-destroying, defiant act was rebuilding 212 and 126 into what they are today....

Sad.
