Well, not quite, but consider this. I am signed up for Work Session C next week, and one of the side benefits of doing this is being able to deduct all of the expenses of travelling. Being the Scotsman I am, I was thinking about this and I mentally totaled the various expenses involved. After reaching the total, I began to wonder if that money (which now benefits the railroad only by making me present in Chama) wouldn't be better spent (ignoring the various episodes of mismanagement discussed in the other arena) if it were donated to the railroad instead of enriching various oil companies, etc. Well, I'm coming anyway, but it occurred to me that people who would like to do a work session but can't get the time, etc., could figure up their expenses and send a check to the (hated) commission, get the tax deduction, and probably help the railroad almost as much as attending a work session. Think about it.
