I have two observation's that seem to have missed my detailed notice from previous photographs that I have taken of this bridge along the right of way of Cumbres and Toltec Scenic RR. Has anyone else notice that it seems as if there are metal risers on the ties just a few tens of feet onto the bridge from the Osier(Eastern) side of the trestle? Then as I was looking at this I noticed that it looks like the curve has been slightly adjust too from the Cumbres(Western) side. At first I thought it was a guard rail that was moved out but it is clearly noticeable from above that it moves right into alignment basically where metal risers are in place.
This is a farther away look of the same picture above, but one can clearly see the risers, and also the spot where the curve from the west side had been realigned.

looking easterly you can see that both rails had at one time been left a good foot, but looking at end of the bridge one can clearly see it wasn't in recent years.
