We were using a big, old machine with a cast base used for horizontal cold bending, etc (and maybe sometimes hot bending) that back in the 19th century was called a "bulldozer" (long before the term was applied to the track-laying tractor with blade).
Ours was once used by the San Francisco Municipal Railway where it was used to make tight-radius, street-intersection curved rails.
