Yes, there is a siding to the south of the turntable. The turntable will serve as a turntable (of course), but will also serve as the "switch" at the north end of the siding. So the turntable will serve two tracks on the south side, one being the 'main', and the other being the siding.
The ROW is limited in width at this point, and my understanding is that there is no room for a track to the right (or left) of the turntable. If/when more track is added to the north, the turntable will serve as a running connection between the two parts of the 'main' track. This situation is why the turntable is considered 'temporary', as one might expect that the turntable might eventually be moved to a more northerly location.
