Status of food in Chama..?

Last week after Sunset on the Rio Grande while on the way from Antonito to Durango I wanted to stop in Chama for a breakfast around 8 am. I had not been in Chama since the rotary run. Surprised to find a sign on Fosters stating they open at 11:30 am, and the Boxcar had a sign open at 9:30. Also surprised that the High Country is boarded up with high weeds growing all around and a for sale sign in a window. Other than the coffee shop place just out of downtown (when does it open?) who else is open early. Are the Fosters and Boxcar open times just for resting after the roundup or is this for the future as well.
