Here is an odd photo I ran on to rotating through photo files to post. This is the tender frame and trucks from one of the USA mikes used on the White Pass in WW2 stored at the Sumpter Valley. The photo date is 1991. When Sumpter Valley Ry. #19 (WP&Y 81) and #20 (WP&Y 80) were brought back to Oregon, they came with the USA tenders they had been using on the White Pass. I am curious why this tender frame and trucks has no tank? Not sure if the tank was not shipped, or has been removed at SVRR's McEwen yard. The scan is from the SVRR Archive.
