Only a few passengers requested a refund for the Eureka - Glenbrook trip that stalled at Cresco.

Later in the evening on the run back to Chama from Cumbres the 168 ran light ahead of the dinner train. The engine lost an eccentric strap a few miles from Chama. A very big thank you to many of the visiting crew members who jumped in Sunday morning to fabricate new parts for 168’s valve gear. The 168 was ready to run by 8:00 pm Sunday evening. After a short test run we decided to run the engine on the night train to Antonito. We had 487 ready if needed. 168 and 425 did a great job up the hill and 168 performed well to Antonito. Many thanks to everyone who jumped in to help get 168 operational Sunday.
