I include being part of the wood relay one of the *many* unique opportunities that last week offered.

I have to admit that I've always been way more interested in CO NG coal burners, but after spending some time watching, listening to, and smelling the wood smoke from the Eureka and Glenbrook, I'm now a fan of these 146 year old engines. The crews and other volunteers were fantastic folks to interact with.
