Here is the builder photo of one of my favorite engines that no longer exisits. This Sumpter Valley Ry. #50 built by Baldwin for the SVRy in 1916. #50 had a rough life on the SVRy, going through a fire when the back shop burned in 1918, and then a very serious wreck where she derailed on the approach to Kytes trestle and plunged into the ravine. In each case she was repaired and enjoyed more years of service. In 1945 she was sold to the government of Peru and operated to at least the 1970's. The builder photo scan is of a cabinet style photo that hung in the South Baker SVRy offices. This photo along with one of SVRy mike #16 belong to SVRR and are on loan to the Baker Heritage Museum.
